Inspired by street games he played as a kid growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Elliot Chiprut, multi-million selling songwriter/producer helped introduce the positive Bubblegum sound to the pop culture in the late 60’s. His success earned him two gold records, Simon Says, which he wrote and co-produced for the 1910 Fruitgum Co., and Little Bit O’ Soul, which he co-produced for The Music Explosion.
The growing popularity of country music crossing over to the pop genre recently motivated Elliot to write, sing and produce his new country CD, Sing That Country Music, a joyous collection of fifteen original positive country songs. Some of the other artists he has written and produced for include; The Tidal Wave, The Teri Nelson Group, Christine Cooper, The Chelsea Boys, Ray Jay and The Eastsiders (Latin), The Spice Of Life, The Jason Garfield, The Rare Breed, The Groove, The Wrenditions, Playground, The Morningstar, The Magic Triplets. He also did lead singing for The British Roadrunners, The Tidal Wave and The Chelsea Boys. To his credit, Elliot has written over one thousand songs in many different genres. His music has also been used for various major network television productions, including the score to the one-hour animation film, Popeye Meets The Man Who Hated Laughter (ABC), and the title song to The Last Day Of The War, the CBS movie of the week, which he also sang. He wrote the score and title song to the award winning anti-drug film documentary, Ringer, which he sang as well.
As a piano soloist, he has written, produced and recorded two original semiclassical/inspirational piano solo CDs, Music From My Heart, and Amazing Grace.
As an author, Elliot’s current metaphysical self-help book, Practical Wisdom From Kabbalah And Edgar Cayce, is a culmination of learning life’s lessons through adversity, soul searching, and many years of spiritual study, including the Bible, Edgar Cayce, A Course In Miracles, Ascended Master Teaching, and Kabbalah. Along with meditation, this brought him the peace and happiness he desired and shares through his creativity.
